If you have problems during the execution of MRCC, please attach the output with an adequate description of your case as well as the followings:

the way mrcc was invoked
the way build.mrcc was invoked
the output of build.mrcc
compiler version (for example: ifort -V, gfortran -v)
blas/lapack versions
as well as gcc and glibc versions

This information really helps us during troubleshooting

Hi, I'm attempting to interface the most recent version of MRCC for use with the latest Molpro. With either the binary or a build from source (Intel compiler), each executable dies with:

file not found, unit 75

what is it looking for and of course, why is it not being found.

Kallay,

maybe a bad assumption on my part - the source tar ball had a date newer than the last patch, so I assumed all patches had been applied to it. Is this not the case?

ah, but on looking again just now, I see that is definitely not the case. I'll apply the patches. Any idea why the binaries are dropping this error?

With all patches applied, I wasn't able to build a working version using source (using Intel 2023.1), but the pre-built binaries now work fine.
